Hello Henny, We hope this note finds you and yours doing well this Christmas. The last few months here in Florida have flown by and we are just so thrilled that Terra is here with us. She has been the perfect addition to our family. She is such an intelligent and loving little girl and she is always happy. She and our 8 year old Labrador. Belle, have become very good friends. In fact, it seems that Terra has brought a great deal of liveliness into Belle’s routine which Belle seems to enjoy a great deal. She keeps close tabs on the 2 cats as well but they are less appreciative than Belle is, as you can imagine. But, they do seem to realize that Terra has only the best intentions so they tolerate her and occasionally share a cushion or lap with her. Terra has completed one obedience class and we will soon start a second one. We are also looking for an agility class to enroll her in. She is quite the athlete. She can jump quite high and appears to have lots of speed and stamina when she runs. She loves walks and car rides and visits with neighbors. Barry and I want to thank you for the obvious care you take with your dogs and your breeding program. Not only do you produce beautiful dogs, you seem to have a certain intuition when it comes to matching just the right puppy with just the right family. Thank you for the time you took in getting to know us so that you could feel comfortable with entrusting Terra’s care to us. Our vet and his staff are impressed with Terra’s good breeding and good health. Wherever we take her, Terra draws a lot of attention and praise. It never goes to her head though! She is always loving and eager to please. We want to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for your integrity and dedication. Because of you we have a wonderful pet who adds so much to our lives. We want you to know that we do all we can each day to be the kind of family for Terra that I’m sure you want for all of the puppies that come from your program. We hope to see you again someday. In the meantime here are recent pictures of Terra. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Best regards always, Denise and Barry Haggerty

Dear Henny,

I hope this finds you well. It is hard for me to believe that Bobby is five months old and is growing like a weed, He is just beautiful and knows that he is. He is truly a red head with a temper and all, He gets what he wants from all of us. The Cat has finally accepted him so we can live in harmony at the Culver house…

Henny, I feel so blessed to have met you and have one of your puppies because I truly believe they are just the best it really shows what an excellent breeder you are.

I hope you have a blessed holiday and a Merry Christmas…

My best to you and your family,

Susan and John Culver

Hi Henny,

First I want to say how delightful it was to meet you yesterday. You are a very nice lady & Mickey & I were impressed with how caring you are.

Thank you so much for being honest with me about my puppy. They say that three’s a charm…you gave truth to that adage because this is the 3rd puppy I’ve bought since December of last year & this is the first one to be what was promised.

Now, about our little Ruby. My gosh! She is everything we hoped for & more. She loves to be wrapped in a blanket & held. She is already getting used to being laid on her back & getting her tummy rubbed. She slept in her bed (a soft puppy bed with soft sides) in between Mickey & me in our bed & she slept all night long. She did not cry & has not cried a time since we left with her. She is very bold for a young pup. She has investigated the house, including a dark room, by herself. I’ve never had a puppy do that. They usually stick to “mama” & stay right under my feet. Max did & so did Emma for the first couple of weeks they were here. She does stay right under my feet most of the time when we are outside for “potty” time although she will run & play close to me occasionally & move away to potty. She loves her toys & plays like a big dog with them. She shakes them & rolls around with them. She loves Max’s toys & drags them around…they are as big as she is & just as heavy! She found his little ball & she loves it. She gets it (it has fuzzy fibers around it so she can get her teeth in the part that sticks up) & runs to me. I will get hold of her & roll it gently in front of her & she will go get it & when I call her she brings it to me. She is responding to being called. She is very smart & so adorable. She loves Max & he is getting used to her. We have to watch him because he tries to keep her “herded” up when we call her or he plays as rough as she does. He does’t know he can hurt her so we have to call him down sometimes but he will lie down & roll over so he can lick her face gently. He is showing that he understands he has to be submissive when he is with her.

Our grandkids came & spent the day & they loved her. Victoria, who is 9, helped take care of her all day. They did a lot of playing & snuggling. Victoria made sure she ate & stayed warm & didn’t over exert herself playing. It was very sweet to watch Ruby & James & Victoria together.

Again, I can’t thank you enough for keeping a tiny puppy for me. We are truly & hopelessly smitten with her.

Sincerely Sandra

hi henny, it is gail lampert from new york. just wanted to give you an update. cody is doing fabulous. i can’t tell you how much i adore and love him. he is so affectionate and smart i can’t begin to tell you all the things he does. he loves being with people and gives lots of kisses. we brought him up for visiting day to my daughter in sleep away. so many people (kids as well as adults) came over to play with him and comment how adorable and handsome he is. they can’t believe what a beautiful color he is.he was the center of attention. he now knows that when i walk with him and he gets to the corner of the side walk he has to wait for me to say lets go before he crosses the street. my son even taught him to “play dead”. when people come to the house he knows to wait by the door without darting. thank you again for bringing so much joy, laughter and love into my home. good luck with the new pups fondly gail lampert

hi henny just wanted to update you. cody went to the vet and he is doing really well. the vet said that he can see what a great disposition he has and that i have a “winner”. he also said commended the breeder and said hats of to her. i can’t thank you enough i don’t know who is luckier cody or myself. he is such a good boy and loves all. when he went to the vet he was kissing anyone in sight. as a matter of fact there were 2 dogs in the waiting room on the floor playing, he was crying that he could not join in. he is on a regular schedule and sleeps thru the entire night.at 12 weeks he already knows sit, down, paw, other paw, high five, come, and spin. any smarter he can not get. we are now working on stay, we will get there. hope all is well with all your new pups fondly gail lampert

We purchased a brown female puppy from Henny two years ago. Abby is simply the best dog we have ever had. She is really smart and is a joy to have in our home. She is a great dog and is a full member of the family. Her health is excellent and her personality is outstanding. She is a perfect example of a top breed of minature poodle. She was easy to house break. Henny is also a rare type of breeder. She is very particular about who buys her puppies. Her spotless home is her kennel. She continues to take all of my calls anytime I have a question about poodles. She gives lifetime service to her owners. If you want a poodle you simply must give Henny a call. We love Abby. Henny –

I just had to e-mail you to tell you what a WONDERFUL blessing you have been to my Mom. Let me give you a little background so you will remember us :o)

My Dad passed away in December. He and my mom had been very happily married 51 years. Even though mom is very active, Dad’s passing left a huge whole in all of our lives. We have a red poodle, who is our BABY. She has always liked Rusty, and teased us about letting her have him. I convinced her that she should get her own baby after assuring her that we would be HAPPY to “doggie” sit whenever she needed. I loved looking at your website and told her about it. She went to it and told me that she “wanted the one in the picture.” It turned about to be one of your puppies from Katherine that was born on June 9 (the same day as her beloved sister passed away).

Henny, I cannot tell you what joy “Rascal” has given my mom. He is just ADORABLE. Her vet practice told her what a good looking (as in WELL BRED) dog she has. Of course they wanted to know where she got him; They knew a lady who had lost her dog and thought this would be a great place for her. She gave them your card :o)

He is doing very well with his house-breaking. And is just the PERFECT companion for my mom.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! If you every want a reference, PLEASE use us!

Karen Bagwell

Ps – My “baby brother” is coming for a visit in September while my mom goes out of state! I am SO excited!!!! I’m sure that once he gets a little bigger and fully house-broken I’ll never get the chance again – She’ll take him with her :o)

It’s been awhile since we last communicated. Sophie is just a tad over 17 mos. She now weighs 13+ lbs. and I have cut back on her food because she is like a cinder block or a tank. Very solidly built. She has lost a little weight. Reds seem to be more solidly built at least Sherry was like that and now I see that Sophie is as well.

She is a wonderful, amazing dog. Bill and I have said repeatedly, if only we were younger, we would have wall to wall red poodles. There is no other color or breed of dog that can†interest us. Sophie is a true braniac.† We are amazed daily by her command of the English language. I cannot begin to tally the number of words she recognizes and responds to.

In all my years of grooming, handling and living w/dogs, especially a long relationship with the Poodle, she is w/o a doubt the smartest dog I have ever owned. Of course, we live in a giant playpen. She has toys in the living room, bedroom, office, dining room and kitchen. Occasionally even in the bath room. She continues to talk about everything. Nothing goes unnoticed or unannounced. She makes all her wants made clear to me. And believe me I must shape up and respond to her demands.

Henny, what is your secret? You must be so pleased to received these glowing reports on your puppies now grown into adulthood. However, there’s a little joke around her house regarding Miss Sophie whenever she steps over the line:”She’s only a puppy you know?”

Anyway, we thank you again for sending this wonderful Poodle. She is intelligent, loving, feisty and lives to play. What a great dog to come home to and to wake up to each morning. She sleeps happily in our bed. I can tell she is growing up because some mornings she doesn’t get up with me but lets me know she would like to sleep in.

Hope all is well w/you, your family and your wonderful Poodles.

Love from all the Siscos. Bill, Pat, Sophie and Lotus

Until December 2006 our family consisted of my wife, me, and our 7 year old toy poodle Ginger. The first week in December Ginger became ill and was taken to the vet who diagnosed her with sugar diabetes. Although the vet did his best Ginger died 8 days later.

I knew that Ginger could never be replaced, but we would need another poodle to fill that sickening, lonely void that her passing left. I didn’t have a clue where to start looking to find a reputable breeder, so talked to my vet. He didn’t know any but told me a few tips in my search.

First and foremost look for a breeder that raises the dogs as family members. If you find that the breeder keeps the dogs in cages, turn around and leave.

Second, your sense of smell should be the first thing to use when visiting a breeder. If the house has a “doggie” smell, turn around and leave.

Finally, ask for the name and phone number of the vet that the breeder uses. Then call that vet and talk to them about the breeder.

In my search for a breeder I turned to the internet, and found Henny’s Poodles among many others. First I was very much impressed with her website. It states that her poodles are home raised. It also includes her vets name, address, and phone number. Hmm! It looks like we are off to a good start.

I called Henny and made an appointment to visit her home. Upon arrival we were met at the door by a very warm and friendly greeting by Henny who had a great big welcoming smile on her face. As my vet had advised, I paid close attention to any objectionable odors that might be present. There were none! After being shown around I could see that there were no dogs in cages.

We had a nice cordial visit, and although money was discussed it was not the main focus. By the time we left we had obligated ourselves to two pups, and felt that we had made a new friend as well. By the end of January our pups were old enough to come home. The visit to pick them up was our third visit to Henny’s. At no time during any of the visits did we feel rushed. Each visit was genuinely warm and cordial. Henny displayed love for the pups she was about to send off to a new home, but said she knew that they would have a good home with us, as any of her clients.

Each visit left my wife and I in awe at the almost magical control Henny has over her animals. I even told her on our last visit that she should have a TV show showing how to train dogs. She softly talks to them and they listen. She smiles and says that it is like having a house full of 3 year olds. Henny’s Poodles are more than a business; her animals are her love and passion. Because of the love and devotion we, the customers benefit. I have also found that she is always willing to stop what she is doing to answer questions you might have about your pups once they are home.

My two girls? They continue to grow and change daily. As you would expect from a high quality Poodle Their intelligence is unbelievable. They are very friendly and loving companions. They have shown no aggressive behavior toward anyone or anything. The latest thing that we have noticed is a couple of times they have demonstrated that proud, pompous swagger that you see in show poodles during competition. We will never show either of these, but it is neat to see them do that.

Although Ginger is missed and memories of her will live on, the void has been filled and our family once again feels whole.
